The Foundation of Fashion Institute was founded in 2020. It was a period when time stood still across the world but great minds were coming up with great ideas. Research was done in that time, and ideas were put into action for the institute to start its work in 2022.

 

The institute is the brainchild of renowned Fashion Designer and Consumer Scientist Palesa Tshukudu. After being in the fashion retail industry for twenty years, it is time to give back to society in a meaningful way.

 

It was our observation that during the Covid-19 pandemic, the people with a skill were able to weather the unemployment storm that gripped the country at that time but still continues to do so even now. People turned to forms of media to learn how to sew, how to cook, how to be influencers etc.

The agile were able to pivot the careers and businesses to suit the market demands.

 

The Foundation of Fashion Institute is a solution to the skills problem in society. It is also a solution to bettering the skills of aspiring fashion students.

 

We are offering basic pattern making skills to equip you with the building blocks of fashion. We are also offering basic sewing lessons to assist you with seeing a concept or an idea come to life

 

Our twelve week course is comprehensive. It will prepare you for the next step in your life. It will also give you a skill that can be turned into a hobby or a business.

 

Lets give back to society in a way that is building and creating self sustenance.
